Gray + Haast started out with a guy looking for the everyday staple in golf apparel; clean colour palette, stylish fit and quality material. The search usually ended the same way coming up your below average, run of the mill results, often with a hefty price tag. We asked ourselves the question, if you can’t find it, why not create it.
Living on the coast we wanted to bring the essence of that coastal vibe to the course. We set out to create a quality product, with a coastal aesthetic, without sacrificing athletic functionality. Think Assembly Label or I Love Ugly, but for golf wear. This is a market we just couldn’t find. Your capsule collection that fits within every golfer’s wardrobe. Your essential colour ways, in the perfect fit, designed for performance….and so, Gray + Haast was born.
Getting to this point wasn’t quick or easy. Over 1.5 years of sampling, refining, and making sure we got the quality and all the smaller details right. From logos that didn’t align with our aspirational brand, materials that weren’t comfortable and didn’t breathe, or details that we found weren’t up to scratch for our customers, we tried and tried again until we achieved the ultimate performance wear for your golf game. You will find our first collection of golf polos are mostly a nylon & spandex blend, a breathable and durable combination, providing stretch for comfort and moisture wicking to keep you dry on the course on those warmer days. We spent time looking at the swing path of a golfer and designed our golf polos with an extended sleeve for comfort through your swing and raglan style for movement in the shoulders. Many have said this is the most comfortable golf polo they have worn – we will let you judge for yourself. All golf polos feature our Gray + Haast embossed buttons, and either HD printed or embroidered logos.
Inspired by the Australian landscape and Coastal living, we have carefully designed our signature range. Our golf polo range incorporates both collar and modern blade collar / collarless options (more on this to come!), perfect for the traditional or contemporary golfer. If you want to keep it classic (remember classic is not boring!), our White, Sand or Light Grey might be for you. Going for a modern favourite than perhaps look to the Fairway Green, or Deep Blue. It doesn’t stop at golf polos. In our launch collection we have included socks and caps. Our socks are high quality performance wear, just like our polos, made with soft, breathable and moisture-wicking fabric – you won’t find 100% cotton here. Our first collection comes in 3 signature styles, they are sure to complete your look. Our hats are a 6-panel quality acrylic twill cap that comes with a snapback closure for the perfect fit. All styles come with either our Gray + Haast signature or smile embroidered logo. Details count, and we have been sure to think about all the small things to make sure we provide ultimate comfort for your golf game, as well as making looking good easy.
Our Australian brand was built for both the lifestyle golfer and golf enthusiast alike. Golf has become the ultimate weekend activity. It doesn’t get much better than watching a sunrise on the course, or an afternoon sinking a few beers on the green with your mates. It’s social, it’s fun, it’s a sport, it’s about community, it’s about getting outdoors. Golf is a lifestyle!
Golf is evolving and we’re along for the ride. The sport has become the thing to do, and it’s no longer a sport just for the elite…or a hobby for the retired. We are forever an advocate of the social and how golf has the ability to organically create communities. Finally, who is Gray + Haast you ask? Gray is the surname of our founders and Haast plays hommage to the common reference of scoring an Eagle. Haast is an extinct eagle, one of the largest known to man. Although it lived in the South Island of New Zealand, some say its heritage originates from Australia, so what better way to bring an essence of history, golf lingo and a sense of place into our brand name. Plus, we also just like the abbreviation G&H. Now on our signature logo, you might notice the resemblance to a golf club and ball. If your imagination hasn't quite got there, this might help:

Customer service and other operations are handled at our HQ in Burleigh heads on the Gold Coast in Australia.
